Humpy Koneru advanced to the semifinals of the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2025


After winning yesterday's game, Humpy Koneru needed a draw to advance. Yuxin Song tried her best, but there was never a moment where a draw was possible on the board. Koneru thus won the match 1.5-0.5 and advanced to the semifinals of the FIDE Women's World Cup 2025.

Novy Bor secured the long-awaited title win in the final round of the European Club Cup in Mayrhofen with a 3.5:2.5 against Asnieres Le Grand Echiquier.
