GCT 9th Sinquefield Cup 2022, Saint Louis - after round 2


 
The Sinquefield Cup is a 10-player classical round-robin taking place in the Saint Louis Chess Club from 2-11 September 2022. 
It's the fifth and final stage of the 2022 Grand Chess Tour, a series of five events with a total prize fund of $1.4 million. The players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one.

French Grandmaster (GM) Marc'Andria Maurizzi won the Djerba International Chess Festival 2025 (Masters). The winner scored 7.5 out of 9 points, a remarkable result. There was significant interest in the performance of 12-year-old Faustino Oro.
